  • Pure-Water Systems for ExteriorsDeionized water on water-fed poles for exterior cleaning. No detergent residue, no streak-causing minerals.
  • Water-Fed Pole ReachThe pure-water pole reaches up to three storeys from the ground. Taller homes or awkward access get a site visit before pricing.

By climate

  • Long, cold winters with heavy snow and a short, warm summerRoad salt and winter grime settle on glass for months, so most homes book a full exterior clean in spring once nights stay above freezing. A second visit in early fall clears pollen and storm residue before the cold returns.
  • Wet maritime weather, salt air, many freeze-thaw cycles and storm-driven rain and snowSalt spray leaves a cloudy film on windows facing the water, and it can etch glass and pit frames if it sits too long. Ask whether the quote covers rinsing tracks and sills, and plan visits between storm systems rather than on a fixed calendar day.
  • Four seasons: humid summers, cold winters with snow and repeated freeze-thawHumid summers bring pollen, tree sap and hard-water spots from sprinklers, while winter adds a salt haze on ground-floor panes. Most households book spring and fall cleans, and it helps to ask if screens and tracks are washed during the same visit.
  • Hot, humid summers, mild winters, heavy storms and in coastal areas hurricanes; pests and mold all yearMildew and salty mist build up fast on glass and screens, and frames near the coast can corrode if left dirty. After a big storm, book a cleaning only once the debris is cleared, and ask whether mildew on sills and tracks is treated.
  • Desert heat, strong sun and UV, dust, monsoon downpours, very little freezingFine dust and hard-water spots from sprinklers bake onto glass under strong sun, and they get harder to remove the longer they sit. Early morning appointments keep cleaning solution from drying in streaks, and a visit right after monsoon storms clears the muddy residue.
  • Dry, high-altitude climate with strong UV, big day-night swings, snow and freeze-thawStrong sun at altitude dries cleaning water almost on contact, so careful work starts on shaded sides and avoids midday on south-facing glass. Spring visits deal with winter dust and melt splash, and it is worth asking whether skylights are included.
  • Mild, wet marine climate: long rainy seasons, moss and moisture, little hard freezing near the coastConstant rain leaves mineral streaks and green growth along window edges, and moss from roofs often washes down onto the glass. Since dry spells are short, flexible booking helps, and a good quote should mention cleaning frames and sills, not just the panes.
  • Dry summers and wet winters, wildfire smoke and ash, earthquakes, almost no snow on the coastWildfire smoke and ash leave a gritty film that can scratch glass if it is wiped dry, so it needs a proper rinse first. Most homes book after the dry season ends and again in spring, once winter rains have splashed mud onto lower windows.
  • Extreme cold, permafrost in places, very short building season and remote freightExterior cleaning only works during a short warm window, so bookings fill quickly once the snow melts and daytime temperatures hold. Interior glass and frost-stained sills can be done any time, which makes it smart to split the job into an indoor visit and a summer outdoor visit.

Questions

What is included in a standard window cleaning?

The flat rate covers exterior glass, frames and sills, cleaned with pure water on a water-fed pole, with screens rinsed in place. Interior glass, screen removal and washing, and track cleaning are optional add-ons quoted with your booking.

How often should residential windows be cleaned?

Most homes: twice a year (spring and fall). Some homes: annually (spring only). Homes near mature-tree pollen or river spray: 3 times a year. We track your schedule and send reminders.

What about mineral deposits or hard-water stains?

Light mineral spotting usually comes off during a normal pure-water clean. Heavy or long-untouched deposits need a specialty treatment, which is quoted separately.

Do you work in winter?

In Greater Montréal, exterior window cleaning is seasonal (typically March-November). Interior can be done year-round.

What about high windows or three-plus storey homes?

The water-fed pole reaches up to three storeys from the ground, so most homes are standard. Taller homes or difficult access (awkward rooflines, atriums) get a site visit before pricing.

Do you clean skylights?

Yes, from inside if accessible. Exterior skylight access depends on roof pitch and safety, we evaluate case-by-case. Typically included in the service unless flagged as specialty.

Do you serve Laval and the North Shore?

Yes, Laval and the Rive-Nord (Terrebonne, Mascouche, Repentigny, Blainville, Boisbriand, Sainte-Thérèse, Mirabel, Saint-Eustache and surrounding) are core service areas.
