Working in Charlotte
The main job is keeping attic heat away from living space and stopping humid air from condensing on cool ducts and drywall. Ask whether the quote covers sealing ducts and crawl spaces, since wet insulation there quickly turns into mold and pest problems.
Charlotte is the second-largest US banking centre after New York and the largest city in the Carolinas. North Carolina's banking, biotech (RTP), and furniture-and-textiles legacy operate in a humid subtropical climate where building envelopes, HVAC, and pest cycles run aggressively year-round.

Questions
Do you take attic, spray foam and home insulation jobs in Charlotte?
Yes. Requests from Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro, Durham and the rest of North Carolina are handled the same way. Use the quote form on this page, or email [email protected] with the service, the address and the timing.
How long does an insulation job take?
An attic top-up on a typical house is often done in a day. Spray foam in a basement usually takes a day or two, plus time for the foam to cure before anyone goes back in. Dense-packing walls or removing old insulation takes longer. The written quote should give the timeline and any time you need to stay out of the house.
How do I get a quote?
Email us your city, the type of house, the areas you want insulated and what you are noticing, such as cold rooms, drafts or ice dams. A specialist who works in your area follows up to look at the house and give you a written quote. Requesting a quote is free and there is no obligation to go ahead.
How much insulation should my attic have?
It depends on your climate. In most of Canada and the northern US, codes and energy programs point to roughly R-49 to R-60 in the attic, which works out to around 16 to 20 inches of blown-in insulation. Milder regions call for less. Many older houses have well under half that. The specialist measures what is there now and quotes the depth needed for your area.
Spray foam or blown-in: which is better?
They do different jobs. Blown-in cellulose or fibreglass is the usual choice for open attic floors because it goes in fast and costs less for the same R-value. Spray foam costs more but seals air leaks as it insulates, so it suits rim joists, basement walls, cathedral ceilings and tight spaces. Many projects use both.
Why does air sealing come before insulation?
Fibreglass and cellulose slow down heat, but they do not stop air. Warm air leaking into the attic through gaps around pipes, wires, pot lights and the hatch carries heat and moisture with it, which leads to ice dams and frost on the underside of the roof. Sealing those gaps first lets the new insulation work the way it should.
