How the work is handled

  • Built for Recurring VisitsRegular cleaning works when it is consistent. Ashford Group focuses on weekly, bi-weekly and monthly visits rather than one-off jobs.
  • Consistent CleanerRecurring visits are planned around sending the same person, so they learn your home: which rooms matter most, where things go and how you like it done.
  • Written ChecklistA written checklist per room: what gets done every visit and what is periodic or extra. You know exactly what is included.
  • Clear Price Per VisitThe price per visit, based on your home and frequency, is in writing before the first visit.
  • Your Preferences RespectedPets, allergies, fragrance-free products and rooms to skip are noted and followed.
  • English and FrenchService available in English and French, including in Quebec.

By climate

  • Long, cold winters with heavy snow and a short, warm summerSalt, sand and wet boots leave white marks on floors and mats from first snow to spring melt, and closed windows let dust build up faster. Ask whether entry floors and baseboards get extra attention in winter, and book a deep clean in spring when windows can open again.
  • Wet maritime weather, salt air, many freeze-thaw cycles and storm-driven rain and snowDamp weather means mud at the door, condensation on windows and mildew in bathrooms that never fully dry. Ask whether the recurring clean covers window sills, shower grout and entry floors, and keep the schedule flexible around storm days when roads close.
  • Four seasons: humid summers, cold winters with snow and repeated freeze-thawPollen and humidity coat surfaces in spring and summer, while winter brings salt and slush to the entrance. Many households pair a regular clean with a spring and fall deep clean, so ask how the checklist shifts between seasons.
  • Hot, humid summers, mild winters, heavy storms and in coastal areas hurricanes; pests and mold all yearMildew grows quickly on grout, shower curtains and window sills, and bugs follow crumbs fast in the heat. Ask whether the regular visit includes mildew treatment in bathrooms and wiping vents, and how cleaning works around storm days and power outages.
  • Desert heat, strong sun and UV, dust, monsoon downpours, very little freezingFine dust works through door and window gaps daily and settles on floors, ceiling fans and shelves, so weekly or bi-weekly visits are common. Ask about microfiber dusting of high surfaces and removal of hard-water spots on faucets and shower glass.
  • Dry, high-altitude climate with strong UV, big day-night swings, snow and freeze-thawDry air makes dust cling to screens and electronics through static, and winter brings gravel and de-icer in on boots. Ask whether entry mats and floors are cleaned more often in snow season and whether hard-water buildup in bathrooms is part of the regular visit.
  • Mild, wet marine climate: long rainy seasons, moss and moisture, little hard freezing near the coastMonths of rain bring mud, wet pets and pine needles inside, and bathrooms and window frames grow mildew easily. Ask whether the recurring clean includes wiping window condensation channels and treating shower mildew, along with extra floor care in the rainy season.
  • Dry summers and wet winters, wildfire smoke and ash, earthquakes, almost no snow on the coastWildfire smoke leaves a fine ash on window sills, furniture and floors, and it smears if wiped dry. Ask whether smoke-season visits use damp microfiber and HEPA vacuums, and plan a thorough clean once the dry season ends.
  • Extreme cold, permafrost in places, very short building season and remote freightLong winters keep everyone indoors with windows sealed, so dust, pet hair and tracked-in grit build up quickly. Few cleaning services reach remote areas, which makes it smart to book recurring visits early and ask which supplies are brought and which you need on hand.

Questions

Is it the same cleaner every time?

Recurring visits are planned around sending the same cleaner, because consistency is what makes regular cleaning work. If your regular cleaner is away, you are told in advance and the replacement follows the same written checklist.

How is pricing calculated?

The price per visit is based on the size of the home (bedrooms and bathrooms), its condition, pets and how often you want visits. More frequent visits usually take less time each. The price is in your written quote before the first visit.

What is included in a regular clean?

Typically: kitchen counters, sink, stovetop and appliance fronts; bathrooms (tub, toilet, sink, mirror, floor); dusting, vacuuming and mopping in living areas and bedrooms; beds made and garbage out. Your written checklist sets the exact list.

What is a deep clean vs a regular clean?

A regular clean maintains a home that is already in good shape. A deep clean, usually the first visit or after a long gap, adds baseboards, window sills, blinds, door frames and buildup in kitchens and bathrooms, with inside the oven or fridge on request. It takes longer and costs more than a regular visit.

Do you bring supplies?

Supplies and equipment are discussed in the quote. If you have allergies, sensitivities or products you prefer, say so in your email and it goes into your checklist.

Can I reschedule or pause?

Rescheduling and cancellation terms are written into your quote, so you know them before the first visit.
