Working in Boston
Temperature swings make metal parts expand and contract, so springs and cables wear out and openers strain more in the shoulder seasons. Ask for a tune-up before winter and check whether weather seals and door insulation are included, since attached garages lose a lot of heat.
Boston is the largest city in New England, the world's leading biotech cluster, and a major academic medical centre. Massachusetts leans on biotech in the Cambridge–Kendall cluster, finance in Boston, and academic medical campuses, in a humid-continental climate with serious winter snow load.

Questions
Do you take garage door repair and installation jobs in Boston?
Yes. Requests from Boston, Worcester, Springfield, Cambridge and the rest of Massachusetts are handled the same way. Use the quote form on this page, or email [email protected] with the service, the address and the timing.
Why does my garage door go back up before it closes?
Usually the safety sensors near the floor are out of alignment, dirty or blocked. It can also be the close-force setting on the opener or a tight spot in the track. If wiping the lenses and realigning the sensors does not fix it, ask for a service visit. Never disable the sensors.
Do you handle commercial overhead doors?
Yes. Shops, warehouses, loading docks, auto service bays and small commercial buildings can request a quote for sectional overhead doors, rolling steel doors and commercial operators. Mention the door size and how many doors are involved in your email.
How do I get a quote?
Email us your city, the service you think you need and what the door is doing. If you know them, add the door size, single or double, and the opener type. A technician who works in your area follows up. Requesting a quote is free and there is no obligation to go ahead.
My garage door will not open. Is it the spring or the opener?
Often it is the spring. If you heard a loud bang from the garage, can see a gap in the coiled spring above the door, or the opener runs but the door barely lifts, a broken torsion spring is the likely cause. If the opener makes no sound at all, check the power and the remote batteries first. Do not keep running the opener against a door with a broken spring, because it can strip the opener gear.
Can I replace a garage door spring myself?
It is not a good idea. Torsion springs store enough energy to cause serious injuries if a winding bar slips. Extension springs can whip loose if they are not fitted with safety cables. A technician has the right tools and sizes the new springs to the weight of your door.
