How it works

Got a job request from us? Here's how to check we're real.

Ashford Group runs local service-request websites. When a customer asks for work we don't do, we offer the request to one local company in that trade. This page shows who we are, where the requests come from, how we check them, and what you pay.

Billing
Stripe invoices in the name of Ashford Group

Our emails come from [email protected], or from abe@ at the website that received the request (listed below). Earlier emails came from [email protected]; deepusecase.com belongs to the same company. You only ever pay on a Stripe invoice page. We never ask for a bank transfer, gift cards or crypto.

What you pay, and when you don't

  1. We email you one requestIn your trade and area: the service, the town, the job details, the timing and the price. The customer's contact details are not in that email.
  2. Reply "yes"We send you the customer's name, phone and email, and Stripe emails you an invoice from Ashford Group.
  3. Call or write to the customerYou pay only if you reach them within 48 hours.
No charge if
  • the phone number or email is wrong,
  • the customer doesn't answer within 48 hours, or
  • the customer already hired someone.

Reply to our email to tell us, and the invoice is voided automatically. You owe nothing.

One company per requestOnce a company takes a request, we don't offer it to anyone else. The customer may still ask other companies on their own.
No subscriptionNo contract, no monthly fee. The price is in each offer email.
Stop any timeReply "stop" and we won't email you again.

Where the requests come from

Every request was sent by the customer to one of the service-request websites we run, through its quote form or by email to its address.

How we check each request

  • The customer sent itIt came in through one of our sites' quote forms or by email to one of our sites. We don't buy requests from other lead sellers.
  • Spam and scams are removedLookalike addresses, fake purchase orders and fax notices, payment-change requests and other phishing are thrown out.
  • The requester is realWe check the person or organization: their email domain, their website or business listing, and that the place they describe exists and actually needs the service. We look for fraud signs such as overpayment offers, overseas senders for a local job, brand-new domains and the same message sent to many sites.
  • Doubts or missing details? We ask firstIf something doesn't add up, or a company couldn't price the job from what was sent, we write to the customer and ask before we offer it. If it still doesn't check out, we don't offer it.
  • Fresh requests onlyWe don't offer a request more than 7 days after the customer's last message, or a tender after its deadline.
  • Why you got itWe only write to companies whose own website shows they offer that service in that area.
